ExpertThe selection of Wedge type push in weather gasket seals found here were designed and found on most types of earlier Upvc window and door profiles. The wedge type gasket pushes snugly into the groove in the profile system and when fitted correctly in place will remain in situation for years of trouble free installation. Provides a water tight and draught tight seal to Upvc windows and doors. The advantage of this pvc nylon gasket seal over the old type rubberised gaskets is that it is clean and dry to the touch meaning that it can be easily worked with and used. When used it does not leave a black grimey mark as is common with the old type rubber seals.
Available as a black or white colour finish and sizes from 1mm - 7mm thick to suit various glass thickness and Upvc window or door profile systems used over the decades. Can also be used on aluminimum or timber systems.
Due to the nature of the pvc seal it does not shrink like the old rubber ones and maintains it's shape and flexability for its lifetime.
The size ranges shown are 1mm - 7mm thick and are a nominal dimension and are rounded down to show the thickness of the gaskets when fitted in place and under compression to achieve a tight weather seal. for specific dimensions please note the detailed cad drawing showing the specific dimensions before fitted into the profile system.
These gaskets are sold in 6 metre quantity increments and are shipped as a single, continuous length. 6 metres will generally go around either the opening door sash or, alternatively, the outer frame of a standard size Upvc door system.
Fitting tip: If struggling with insertion sometimes a light spray with a soapy solution will allow the gasket to be slid home particularly in the corners and tight areas.
