ExpertThe old Tricept Saracen upvc window lock gearbox was designed and made exclusively to suit A&B windows openning vent sashes. This tricept window lock was part of the national window supplier portfolio and designed to offer the industry a different option of window lock operation to other suppliers and the gearbox is unique and unable to be sourced or fitted with any of the othe ERA window locks.
This window lock is no longer made however we have been able to source the lock range assembly's so that the centre gearbox can be replaced to create a succesful repair to any size as follows;
This Tricepct window lock comes with the white connectors so that you can simply remove the metal shoot bolt rod ends and replace them with the exisiting ones as they are a simple round bolt that does not fail. This is so that the central window lock gearbox can be replaced as it is this part that is the normal part that breaks down. Please view our detailed dimension drawings on our page to be able to compare yours. This Tricepct gearbox is unique in make and size and can not be mixed with other variations of the Saracen window gearboxes.
N:B The window lock will come with the white connectors still attatched to the centre gearbox with 2 small grub screws.

1 X Window lock gearbox as shown with the relevant size white nylon connectors. See below for details.
This part does not come with shoot bolt rods and they are only in some display images for reference purposes only. Please reuse the existing ones.
(If you are trying to replace the old Saracen HS retractable gearbox this is not the same lock see fitting tip below for a solution)
The window locks are measured from end to end of the white cover in the locked postion I:E Mushroom cams protruding as follows:
Fitting Tip: If you have the old Saracen HS retractable window lock this will not be a match
As you may know you have the old Saracen HS Retractable window lock which is now obsolete and all stocks everywhere is exhausted. However you will find you can use the: Maco Mark 2 Rail Upvc Window Lock Gear Box 22mm Backset Crop-able window lock which is able to replace the old Saracen gearbox and shares the same connector spacings so the existing shoot bolt arms will drop into the housing and operate. As the new Maco window lock is slightly longer approx. 35mm each end I believe all you will need to do is shorten the old shoot bolt extensions with a hacksaw and is really easy to do.

Sorry its not a straight forward like for like replacement but Saracen simply withdrew the product and offered no replacement so with a little bit of DIY skills
there is the alternative above to be able to carry out a successful repair and is not difficult to do.
