The rods that fit this Window Lock Gearbox clip and twist to secure in place. They are not included with the Gearbox and must be purchased separately. If they are required, see the Saracen Deadlock Shoot-bolt Rod Clip Fit. Search for part 691 SC2 Rods
Tip: To get to the shoot bolts that are inserted into the lock gearbox you will usually see that there are a plastic strip inserted either side of the lock gearbox and pushed into the u-shaped slot in the opener. These plastic inserts need removing to expose the bolts and you should be able to do this by carefully inserting something thin and flat but strong into the edge and flicking it out. The strips are just tapped into place and are not screwed but will be firmly inserted. Once removed you can then physically get hold of the shootbolt rods for removal. Do not throw the plastic inserts away as these are not able to be sourced as they were made to suit the specific profile fitted and will no longer be made.
The strips are purely aesthetic and play no structural part other than covering the rods up.
