Maco Top or Bottom Corner Connector Tilt Turn Linkage (Single Part)
This is the top or bottom corner connector linkage part with a mushroom cam bolt. It acts as either a tilt plate bottom pivot point or, alternatively, a locking cam security point that is screwed to the tilt turn gearing. This allows the window to tilt.
The shown corner drive connector can be used on either the top or bottom of the window. As long as you make sure there are enough connector teeth under the drive gear mechanism, you should be able to cut the existing drive gear to suit the new corner replacement.
You will find that over the years that the tilt turn corner elements used has varied. Therefore, it is likely that if yours is different to this part, it is now obsolete. However, the corner connector teeth on this new Maco part will be compatible with the existing gearing so long as it is replacing a corner part that is not longer than this, meaning that there are still enough linkage points to connect to if cut down to suit with a hacksaw.
Unfortunately, the old tilt turn gearing parts are now becoming obsolete and are no longer used by modern fabricators. For this reason you will need to carry out some adaption work may be necessary to carry out a successful repair that this new part may allow.
