ExpertThis is the purpose made Maco door lock ATS door centre latch and dead bolt striker keep. This Maco ATS latch dead bolt striker keep is engineered from high strength metal plate and is built to withstand force when fitted with the appropriate screw fixings, which are sold separately, into reinforced material.
The keep plate is also fully adjustable to allow the door sash to be fully sealed on to the outer frame gasket weather seals as required. This is a unique part because it has a built-in centre magnet which senses when the door lock has closed tightly against it. This allows the lock points to throw and engage which then ensures a tight and safe seal.
The Maco keeps are handed either left or right and are always viewed from the outside. Please see the listing images to identify and purchase the appropriate keep handing.
What you will receive:
1 X Centre latch and deadbolt keep (handed as chosen by yourself. Please refer to the listing images to identify the correct one).
Fixings are sold seperately because in many situations the existing ones can be reused and there is no one-size-fits-all option for bespoke products.
Fitting tip:
Over the years the profile companies have a vested interest in updating and changing the shape of the products every few years to meet the new demands. Once they do this the shape of the keeps become discontinued because the requirement for them is gone.
To this end the only option is to modify the keeps and or the profile Upvc to suit. You can normally do this relatively easy by either removing some of the Upvc up stand with a sharp wood chisel or Stanley knife. Alternatively, you may need to create a bit of a shim / packer to put underneath to give it a flat-bed to sit on. Once you do this, and screw it firmly in place, it should give you a trouble-free installation.
