ExpertThis is the internal and matching external cassette found on modern composite door systems commonly used on the Nanyan composite door slabe for example. The glazing cassettes are the screw fit type and includes the screw fixings and screw cover pods for the internal face.
The glazing cassette is sold as a single pair to replace the cassette to cover the inside and outside of a double glazed unit. The internal piece has the purpose made fixing holes for the screw fixings and the external piece has the purpose made fixing ports to receive the screw fixings so that once screwed in place the two pieces trap the double glazed unit in place securely.
N:B For Doors With 2 Pieces of Glass you will need to order 2X Pairs Of Glazing Cassettes
What you will receive:
1 X internal cassette cover white grain finish
1 x external cassette cover white grain finish
1 x pack of fixing screws
1 x pack of screw cover pods
Glass, Silicone & glazing tapes are not included and should be purchased as additional items.
Fitting tip: The glazing cassettes will require a silicone seal to both sides of the cassettes to ensure a weather tight seal to the double glazed unit and also the composite door slab. In particular the external piece will require this to prevent water ingress into the slab and the property. The glazing cassette has purpose made grooves on both cassettes where this can be applied. It is advised that this is neatly applied so that the silicone does not protrude outside the gassette as it is tightened up leaving an unsightly seal. However should some do so on fitting you can clean this off immedetely before it fully adheres to the slab / glass.
