ExpertThe wedge gasket was widely used on the original upvc window and door systems and was usely applied to the internal side of the profile to wedge and trap the double glazed units against the externally beaded frames. The variation in thickness of the gasket allowed the installer to provide differing thickness of glass units to suit the applications required.
Fitting tip: Sometimes a light spray with a soapy solution will allow the gasket to be slid home particurlarly in the corners and tight areas.
These gaskets are sold in 6 metre quantity increments and are shipped as a single, continuous length. 6 metres will generally go around either the opening door sash or, alternatively, the outer frame of a standard size Upvc door system.
All the gaskets shown on this listing is sold in 6Mtr quantity increments and will be supplied in a continuous length. I:E order x2 = 12mtr length
