This espag will fit many of the old type aluminium or steel window locks used over the years. You may need to move the striker keeps on the outer frame to suit the new espag but this is simply a removal of the fixing screws and re fixing in the new position to suit.
11mm Slimline Narrow Width Faceplate Replacement Repair Aluminium Window Lock Option:
We have developed the Gardinia window lock rod so that it is a suitable replacement to repair a broken older no longer made blade prong lug type window lock including the slim narrow type offset or inline type window lock rods, which are now obsolete. This lock will normally fit into the routed opening and has the same or similiar square hole port to allow the blade or fork prong to be inserted into. However dependant on the routed hole size you may need to open the hole slightly to allow it to sit in place properly.
You may also need new window keeps and screws to suit the new window lock and you will need as many as there are lock points on the relevant new lock. Please take time to view our detailed description page (see thumbnail images on this page listing) for more information.
