This is the reversed handing UPVC door latch opening tool to the more common black handle one & this one is a useful complemently aid to the black handle opposite one to help to successfully force open the sash from the frame on doors and can sometimes even be used on windows and is bent and shaped to lip round the UPVC profile rebate up-stands so that it can be used to move the locking points out of the frame keeps to help open the window or door. Coming complete with an ergonomic handle, and flexible metal blade it is able to be firmly forced in and around the profiles.
As with all type of blunt instruments it is always wise to be as careful as possible not to mark the profiles it is used upon and if possible put some form of protection on them particularly foiled profiles. We also advise wearing protective gloves when using as there will be need to use a lot of force to insert the tool and push and force it round the apertures particularly if in a tightly locked opener. It may also be prudent to remove glazing areas to create additional flexing on materials beforehand.
Particularly useful for releasing the latch where it has got stuck or is broken and preventing the door opening.
N:B this is primarily a door latch opening tool however it may help in opening windows with some manipulation
