UPVC Door Aluminium Kick Bar Protection Strip Prevents Damage & Repairs Broken Threshold Bottom Rail Gold & Silver
This product can be trimmed with a saw to suit your door size. The 850mm dimension is usually more than large enough for even an over-sized door and can do a door up to an overall width dimension of about 1 metre.
Fitting tip: Measure & cut the strip to fit between the door outer frame uprights (it does not matter if the bar is not a tight fit between as it is the middle of the door that is the highest point of wear & tear. Equally mark out the 4 fixing screw lugs positions along the purpose made V groove drill port line. Drill a 3mm hole through the strip or use a battery screw driver with a cross head end to drive the self-drilling screws in. For best results the bar should finish approx 5mm from each end of the door frame when closed. This will allow for any expansion / movement that you may experience over time. The 4no supplied fixing screws can be counter sunk into the aluminimum kick plate if so desired to give a flush finish if you so desire.
