Spilka Top Swing Reversible Pivot UpvcWindow Lock Gear Box
The Spilka window lock gearbox was made specifically to suit the many variations of fully reversible or top swing upvc windows that were and are often fitted to high rise properties, where residents require the window to pivot fully round so that the external side of the glass can also be cleaned.
The Spilka window lock box has concealed connector lugs that the shotbolt arms simply latch over to allow them to move in and out when the handle is moved. As the shootbolt arms are then able to be made from minimum width and height metal it allows the rods to be slid into the normally quite slim upvc opening sash material and into the lock gearbox.
The Spilka window lock is very similar in look and dimension to the much older and now obsolete Grourd lock gearbox and can be used as a replacement with a little or no work.
The shootbolt arms are no lomnger available.

The Spilka centre shoot bolt upvc window lock engages with the shootbolt arms tat simply hook round the sliding connector arms from under the lock gearbox. Often used on the top swing fully reversible pivot type upvc windows.
