Smarts Aluminium Door Elongated Flipper Weather Rubber Gasket Seal AF203
This is an elongated lipper type gasket that creates an additional weather performance seal and is used on the Smart Aluminium residential door & window systems fitted over the last few decades. The gasket is fitted to the purpose made shoe port to allow the gasket to sit round the whole of the opening aperture of the door frame to suit the opening sash so that as the sash closes into the frame it neatly seals up and onto this gasket therefore creating an additional weather seal to ensure that any water of air will not pass and ensures the window or door openers achieve a very high weather performance. This gasket can also suit windows if also required. Even though the gasket is primarily made to suit Aluminimum it can be used also on Upvc should you wish to create an extended overhanging weather seal to increase the prevention of water ingress or air leakage.
Smarts used this flipper rubber seal on all their windows and doors and insisted that this created a seal to achieve a high performance weather seal.
The Gasket is sold in 6mtr increments which is usually enough to do one standard sized door or window opener
- Rubber gasket is quick and easy to fit
- All the gaskets shown on this listing is sold in 6Mtr quantity increments and will be supplied in a continious length. I:E order x2 = 12mtr length x3 = 18mtr and so on upto a maximum of 100 lin mtrs shorter increments are not available.

The gaskets are sold in 6 metre increment quantitys and is in one continuous length. 6 metres will generally go round either the opening door sash or alternatively the outer frame of a standard size Upvc door system.
Fitting tip: gasket can be neatly cut to size with sharp household scissors. When fitting for best weather performance it is best to start in the middle of the top rail at the top of the door or window as this is normally the least area of water penetration and driving winds so that the bottom of the door or window system is always in one continuous piece. Gaskets can be joined with a discreet blob of superglue which will adhere it together and also to the upvc profile with no detriment.
