Spindle to Key: 200mm the door handle and cylinder lock are 2 separate gear boxes from each other and allow the patio to be operated from inside and outside.
The faceplate often had stamped on it SI 3/PZ GR4 ATL FFH 1650 - 2150 or 1880 - 2380 (This is the size range that the lock would cover. The measurement is taken from the top corner to bottom corner of the full length of the patio on the handle side) However Siegenia ceased manufacture of these locks approx. 2015 and therefore those specific locks are now obsolete and replaced by a lock system that is no longer compatible (Titan AF System) and the connecting teeth will not fit.
However we have sourced this new system that is compatible and will fit the teeth connectors as it is part of the same Favorit range and works just the same as long as you move the roller cam striker frame keeps to suit the new as they are in a different position and have checked the correct backset and size range that it covers as within your existing door lock height range.
Do not only measure the lock mechanism include the corner extensions that connect to it at the top & bottom. This is the FFH (full frame height sometimes called rebate height) Pick the mechanism that falls between these sizes.
The lock is then simply cut down to size with a hacksaw leaving enough connecting teeth underneath to link into the corner extensions.
Underneath the faceplate are teeth to connect to any corner drive gears. (the length range of the teeth are able to be shortened by 255mm from the top & also the bottom to accommodate shorter height ranges)
This patio generally has handles to both the inside and outside faces of the door and has a separate euro profile door cylinder lock to dead lock the patio doors (although some fabricators have been known not to use this and fit either a handle to the internal only or a blanking plate externally to cover the separate cylinder lock)
Siegenia patio drive gears come with the lock in the central open position. Inside the gearbox Siegenia position the gear with some break off burrs inside the lock to prevent the lock moving whilst it is cut down to length to suit the particular patio. On first operation it will feel like the lock is jammed but as you exert some force on the handle you will find the burrs break off and the lock will now run free from here on in.
