Roto Centro Flat Cam Replacement Tilt Turn Drive Gear Centre Gearbox Repairs Broken Centre Section
The Roto centro tilt turn window lock mechanisms are no longer made and are now obsolete and superseded with the new range of locks which are not always compatible. The new range that has superseded them has been done so assuming that all the gearing around the window will be replaced at the same time and therefore the locking points are no longer in the same place meaning that you cannot fit the new parts to the old exsisting ones as a replacement repair.
However we have been able to source and create an excellent solution so that you can repair the old and no longer available window drive gears which is the part that usually fails. Just like repairing a door lock mechanism you can now replace the centre drive gear box with our unique engineered repacement gear box built to match the same specifications.
The new Roto centro copy gearbox replacement is now available as a matching replacement spare part. The 2 sides of the gear box parts are connected with metric PH1 screws which is avaialble as a common screwdriver or bit (not included).
Tip: Roto have had a number of variations of tilt turn mechanisms over the years. By far the most popular was the old and now obsolete Roto Centro mechanism. This lock is easily identified as the locking cams are a flat blade type shape that slide up and down the faceplate when the handle is operated. This gearbox is suited to fit that mechanism. The later round roller cam type of locks use a different gearbox
Please note that the pre-cut holes in the plate that the serretated teeth are connected to which the gear engages is re-used. If it is badly worn, then the new gear-box cogs can no longer grasp it properly and move it reliably.
