These handles have been researched and sourced by our team to specifically provide a spring loaded repair handle option to the Roto type 200mm screw fixing centres with an 92mm PZ spindle to key centre dimension on the inside handle but an offset 62mm pz outside to achieve a key only external acess to the property.
These types of door handles were always fitted unsprung meaning that once the spring inside the door lock breaks the handles will become floppy. These unique repair handles overcome this issue as they are able to fit separate spring cassettes and will generally cover over any old holes drilled through the doorknowing that they will leave the door with newly spring loaded door handles.
Universal: Fits both left or right handing of doors.
How do offset door handles work:
This handle set has the internal handle lever at 92mm (PZ) whilst the external pad handle is set at 62mm. This is useful on door lock mechanisms that have 2 spindles to suit these dimensions. Many of the old Roto door lock gearboxes used the 2 spindle option to achieve this however Roto discontinued these locks many years ago along with the matching door handles. This door handle set has been specifically sourced to provide a possible option to this situation. The lower spindle (62mm) will not operate the latch so that only key holders may open the door from outside.
Once the door is closed the latch of the door lock clicks into place and even when the lever is pulled down from outside it will not allow the latch to dis-engage so that if you are in another part of the property you can rest assured that only a key holder will gain entry. When you require to fully lock the door when away from the property or on an evening you simply lift the lever from either inside or outside and turn the key to deadlock it secure.
Roto offset levers with a 92pz to the inside handle and a 62pz on the outside handle. Upvc door handles with 200mm top to bottom screw fixings, top quality door handles, fits either hand of door. These handles are sprung using spring cassettes. Universal fits both left and right handing of doors.
