ExpertThis is the heavy duty mega egress friction hinge that was developed to be able to provide a side opening fire escape egress solution to Upvc windows and also timber casement openers to allow them to safely work for heavy glass and opening sections.
The hinges were made in two lengths either the 8 inch long or 13 inch long and are a 13mm stack height, which is the most common height however should you need to achieve a 17mm stack height you cAN FIT THE 4MM packer to achieve this (part 1612)
This hinge pair is made from heavy duty steel and is able to handle much heavier weights than normal standard window hinges
The 13.5 inch hinge (actually 345mm long) will carry a maximum 40Kg weight load and a 900mm wide sash
Tha 8 inch hinge (actually 225mm long) will carry a maximum 33Kg weight load and a 600mm wide sash
