The wider Maco mushroom keep is used to connect to a shootbolt window lock rod. It also provides a night vent facility because the mushroom cams lock into the outer plate holes. See the description below. Note that the latest colour finish on these plates is now of a silver colour but all other aspects remain the same.
If this keep is needed to fit into a corner shoot bolt keep then the corner keep can be purchased from us by searching for our part number 1287 ("Maco Upvc Window Shoot Bolt End Keep Only Fits Mushroom Keep Not Incl").
Note that the colour finish is now silver to comply with legislation relating to the ban of heavy metals that are deemed to be hazardous to the environment. This is a genuine Maco part and the dimensions are exactly the same as the old yellow version.
Maco wider universal mushroom keep will suit most Upvc 70mm front to back profiles, however may require packing behind to suit various profile systems. This suits Maco Mark 1 and Maco Mark 2 type shootbolt window locks.
