The Allen key supplied can be used to lock the tilt restrictor firmly in the locked position to prevent the window been disengaged from the hook once in the tilt position.
The protruding metal lug on the outer frame securely snaps into the sash tilt restrictor keep part and allows the opening window sash to be securely fixed in the desired tilt position to allow ventilation whilst preventing the window sash from blowing open or closed in the wind. The side lug needs to fix to square edged profiles with suitable fixing screws. To disengage the hook then with the window closed you must push the top black button down firmly whilst opening the window.
Tilt & Turn pvcu rocker maco multivent switch restrictor provides fixed restriction point to suit by operation of rocker switch. Rocker switch activates a shoot lug into fixing body into the hook to secure. Will fit on square edge profiles only. Disengagement is achieved by pushing dopwn the top button whilts the window is closed and at the same time opening the sash.
