Note: Maco have used this type of gear box on their new door locks since approximately mid-2010 and updated the gearing system to suit this.
Please check all the dimensions against our dimension diagram (see the smaller thumbnail images by the main display image). Pay particular attention to the screw fixing dimensions because they are different on the old and new versions and are therefore not compatible parts.

Please note: When reversing the latch do not move the spindle once the latch is removed. Otherwise, you will activate the spring and base retaining plate. This will jump out of its housing and will prevent the lock from being operable. If you do this, the only way to reset it is to take the gear box cover off and put it back in place but this is a fiddly job. Once the latch is back in place and clicked home, this will not occur.
