The Overall length of the lock faceplate shown (OL: in attatched detailed dimensions file) is simply trimmed down at the ends with a hacksaw to suit the length of your own personal door
Fitting tip:If you are replacing Version 1 (Maco Part No 56231) with Version 2, then the Hook Keeps and Center Latch will need to be lowered by 10-20mm. If your lock did not have the roller cams as this one does you can either ignore them or alternatively purchase the universal keeps Part: 2239 in our listing. You may also find that the Maco 56231 gearbox length was generally approx 185mm long, whilst the new gearbox is approx 35mm longer as is the case with the 2 number hook boxes. If the door is routed tightly simply enlarge the slot with a sharp wood chisel or suitable craft knife to suit. This does not effect the working of the door and is not a difficult job to do.
N:B the new lock sent will be with the new CTS Maco hook locks as shown below and is the new genuine Maco part that has superseeded previous ones

Maco CTS Range 2 Hooks 2 Mushroom Cams 45mm B/set (version 2) UPVC Multipoint door locking mechanism. This is the newest CTS Maco New version to replace version older Maco locks which does use a longer gearbox and hook keeps which may require the pre-routed slots in the door opening by approx. 35mm with a sharp wood chisel which is an easy job to do.
