Removing a Euro Cylinder from a Upvc or Composite Door is quite an easy task, like anything, once you know how.

Generally you would probably want to remove the Euro Cylinder to upgrade your door lock to a modern, high security lock. Or to simply have a new lock if you have lost a key for example.

Whatever the reason for removing / changing the Euro Door Cylinder we have produced a video to help give you the confidence to undertake this yourself:

When choosing a new door cylinder (lock) we recommend the ABS Euro Cylinder as security is a key selling point of this cylinder.

ABS cylinders come with a personal key card containing a unique number tied to your existing euro cylinders, without your personal key card its not possible for additional keys to be cut . This provides enhanced security as keys can be lent out with the piece of mind they cannot be copied without your knowledge.

Of course if you are still not 100% sure and need advice you can email our team, include as much information as possible and we will do our best to advise you remove and change the door cylinder in your Upvc or Composite door.
