- Originally stamped ERK065M on the keep plate but now it is stamped WKM065T
- Suits Upvc Window Locks
- Originally all keeps had a yellow chromated finish. However, all suppliers are now removing the yellow chemical that has been banned as a toxic chemical. Therefore, new stocks will be a silver colour finish but everything else is the same.
Note that the Avocet Upvc window lock keeps have been changed to a silver plate finished, rather than the yellow chromated finish your existing keep may have been. The chemicals used to achieve the yellow finish are now one of the banned substances that have been found to be an issue to the environment therefore are no longer used. Since the keeps are only visible when the window is opened there should be no issue. They are still genuine Avocet parts made to the same specifications.
