Tilt Slide patio Drive Gear 30mm Backset 1800mm & 2200mm
- 7mm spindle
- Length: 1800mm or 2200mm
- Locking Points: 4 rollers
- Backset: 30mm
Spindle to Key: 145mm the door handle and cylinder lock are 2 separate gear boxes from each other and allow the patio to be operated from inside and outside.
The faceplate has stamped on it Roto GR 2180 2201 - 2400 (This is the size range that the lock will cover. The measurement is taken from the top corner to bottom corner of the full length of the patio on the handle side).
Do not only measure the lock mechanism include the corner extensions that connect to it at the top & bottom. This is the FFH (full frame height sometimes called rebate height) Pick the mechanism that falls between these sizes.
1800mm = The faceplate has stamped on it Roto GR 1780: 1601 - 2000
2200mm = The faceplate has stamped on it Roto GR 2160: 2001 - 2400
The lock is then simply cut down to size with a hacksaw leaving enough connecting teeth underneath to link into the corner extensions.
This patio generally has handles to both the inside and outside faces of the door and has a separate euro profile door cylinder lock to dead lock the patio doors (although some fabricators have been known not to use this and fit either a handle to the internal only or a blanking plate externally to cover the separate cylinder lock).
Roto patio drive gears come with the lock in the central open position. Inside the gearbox Roto position the gear with some break off burrs inside the lock to prevent the lock moving whilst it is cut down to length to suit the particular patio. On first operation it will feel like the lock is jammed but as you exert some force on the handle you will find the burrs break off and the lock will now run free from here on in.
