What You Will Receive:

This yale g2000 door lockcase allows you to use a Lever / Lever handle or a lever pad handle The pad handle is fitted outside and uses the lower spindle The lower spindle allows the door lock to be locked and un-locked but will not operate the latch (snek) on the gearbox from outside without turning the key The internal handle uses the top spindle which operates both the locks and the latch without the need to use the key. N:B.you can if you wish use the top spindle only with a matching handle both sides (this is the most common use).
Genuine Yale G2000 Lock & Heavy metals Legislation
You will find that ALL suppliers are now moving their replacement parts to a silver plated finish rather than the old yellow chromate because of the European regulations on “Heavy Metals” and the chemicals used to create the old yellow finishes. You can see the legislation details via the link below: Yale as part of this legislation have also now done this with the Yale G2000 replacement gearbox. This is still a genuine Yale replacement part and is not a copy and is an identical match.

Yale G2000 35mm Backset Upvc multipoint door lock mechanism centre case gear box. In many cases by simply replacing the gearbox you can repair the door lock mechanism. Generally speaking it is an easy job to simply unscrew the door lock gearbox and re-connect to the full length lock mechanism. N:B this is a Genuine Yale G2000 Lock replacement gearbox but is now silver plated finish rather than the old yellow chromate finish as shown. This is still a genuine Yale replacement part and is not a copy and is an identical match (please see below for more details)
