This is the Winkhaus lower bottom half to suit stable doors both composite and timber type. It is key operated locking with a push in roller latch and a deadbolt with a hook. The bottom half of the door was always operated and locked using this purpose made door lock that instead of a normal latch has a roller latch as shown.
Winkhaus 45mm backset roller latch stable Door lock with a 20mm faceplate. Key operated lock usually fitted with an internal thumb turn lock to the bottom half of the stable door.
